Saturday. 3.9.13. MRD performing at SXSW... again!  Back on 6th street in Austin for SXSW 2013!

MRD will be playing it's second straight year at SXSW in Austin, Texas!  Check out the bands set at 512 Bar on 6th street, Tuesday, March 12th at 4PM.   This marks a comeback show after MRD lead singer Brantley Cowan from a broken back, time in ICU and back surgery.  The band is looking forward to taking the stage again in 2013!  It's already shaping up to be a great year!

Monday. 2.4.13. New Prague EP coming from MRD!  Current EP "Great Western Civilization" now available on Pandora!

Mastering is complete in L.A. for the upcoming MODERN ROCK DIARIES album that was recorded in Prague, Czech Republic!  The band is very excited about the new songs and art work / packaging design has now commenced!  Stay tuned for more news and make sure and check out current EP, "Great Western Civilization", now on Pandora & Last.fm... as well as iTunes and around the world wide web.

Modern Rock Diaries will be LIVE in concert on 6th street at Friend's Bar after the UT/West Virginia game... 10PM on Saturday, October 6th!  Will be packed, come early!  We're looking forward to seeing all our of Austin fans!

MODERN ROCK DIARIES announces new EP project in Prague, Czech Republic.  MRD will be in tow with producer Jarod Evans of Blackwatch Studios to record a rapid follow up to the current EP, "Great Western Civilization".  MRD, who is set to tour on the current EP this summer will be in Prague recording this new album that is set for a Fall 2012 release.  The band will spend time renowned Faust Studios and also track ambient tracks in a rarely opened 1000 year old castle located between Prague and the Austrian border.  More details to follow... 

Monday. 4.02.12. MODERN ROCK DIARIES named to Main Stage for Norman Music Festival / NMF5!

MODERN ROCK DIARIES has been named to the group of headliners with fellow indie rock acts, 'Portugal.The Man.' and 'Other Lives' to play the main stage at Norman Music Festival, one of the midwest's top and most progressive music festivals.  MRD plays 5th on the line-up and is slotted at 2 pm, Saturday, April 28th.  The main stage is located near Porter on Main Street in Norman, Oklahoma.  The event draws nearly 75,000 annually and is publicized world wide.  Join MRD for another amazing show promoting the "Great Western CIvilization" EP!  Check out the full headliner line-up here.

Saturday. 10.1.11.  Modern Rock Diaries with Shiny Toy Guns show announced.

MRD has been booked to play with Grammy nominated L.A. indie rock act, Shiny Toy Guns, currently on their U.S. tour.  MRD will be playing with STG at their Oklahoma stop, playing at the University of Oklahoma on Saturday October 15th.  Thousands are expected in this outdoor large stage setting on the East Memorial Union lawn near Campus Corner.  Don't miss MRD playing in support of new album, "Great Western Civilization" with Shiny Toy Guns.  Show at 8pm.  After the show, most of the crowd will be heading to Brothers on Campus Corner where MRD will play for the Norman Music Festival / 35 Denton promotional show, featuring several of Oklahoma and Texas' top bands!  Will be a big night of amazing rock music at OU!
